If you have an external wastegate you could always move the exhaust from that thru your bonney - you should see that! :Laugh

Custom decats are by far the best

errr... no!

Custom on a performance car is probably worse.. companies who make aftermarket exhaust put research into building exhausts to sell to make it 100% right.
Title: NUR-Spec
Post by: dazsir on February 03, 2007, 06:32:01 AM
Had them on Supra\'s before:

TT Supra - Loud on full throttle, quiet rest of time
NA Supra with Decat - Fappin Loud!  Rattled my neighbours window frames, woke the dead.

When its time for a new exhaust, NUR SPec is what I will be getting!

I have a full custom titanium one. Loud it is - last time I checked, I think it recorded 126db whilst on a dyno run.

Aftermarket one, Nurspec is loud, also the Panspeed systems are very loud.

mine pops & bangs loads and all ive gotta do is let off and put back on a few times on the motorway and it flames stupid amounts.... as for loudness well i think its stupidly loud since i put the 4" downpipe and 3" decat on it,

on the rolling road you actually had to hold your ears, you had to be there really but heres a video giving you an idea, when it let off the first run, it popped and flamed and blew the extractor thingy away lol!

does anyone have a HKS Super Dragger? i\'ve got one and it pops here and there and is remarkably loud but very muffled but i am sure this is because i still have stock cat & downpipe etc :(

until i can afford a pfc its got to stay that way i guess :(

a friend of mine has a bpu supra TT wth (i think) a nurspec and full 3" decat etc and that thing make the absolute best noise at WOT but and remarkably quiet cruising.

Cherry bomb style exhausts are the loudest, with my large external wastegate and a full decat Nur spec I was 130db with the bung in at Brands going down the straight!! Now I have a huge straight through R-magic system which is even louder!!! I need to make it quieter as its only fun for 20 mins then I start to get a headache!!

Iv got a KSP full decat with 3.5" downpipe, its 120+db on a drive by! Not sure on the dyno never measured it...on start-up/cold its 112db
Gives flames off at higher revs (5k+) but doesnt pop much :(

If your wantin lots of poppin and flames then you\'ll probably need an aftermarket dump valve

Absolutely, after watching the Audi Quattro in Group B...anything close to that will make me happy :)

Can someone post pics of the HKS super dragger, I\'ve got an exhaust in the garage I\'m thinking of selling and I\'m sure its a superdragger I\'d just like to check. Its damn loud though.

Nice little fire going there !

Althought I have to say, probably because of the recording but there isnt any bass, kinda reminds me of one of my mates farting in a tube.
lol

Blitz Nur Spec is what you want for flames...and it\'s fduking loud too. Mine is for sale if anyone wants it, I\'ve gone for refinement but still with flames!

Even got comments from RX owners at the last Ace Cafe I went to in the autumn!

Ive got one of those, I was thinking that my lack of flames could be something to do with my screamer pipe. If this was plumbed into the downpipe would that help???:o

Mines VERY loud, is there a legal limit? It\'s 3" pipe from the back of the T04 into a 3" midpipe then through a Blitz NUR Spec. Set a few car alarms off with it :S

I have just swapped my Blitz Nurspec R (full catback system) for a Rocket Dancer Titanium unit. Both sound sweet. The Nur Spec is up for grabs if anyone is interested.

I am doing a full project on the car currently, complete engine works, full bodykit, swapping out wheels, etc, and the Ti exhaust was the icing on the cake. Should be ready for running in around about 2 weeks :)

what sort of price are you looking for mate? is it in good condition? would my car need a re-map after fitting and would it be best for me to get a de-cat and downpipe all fitted at the same time?

I will work out a price later today, and put both bits up in the For Sale section (although I have loadsa PM, so it may be best on Fleabay). Both are in excellent condition - the zorst has probably only travelled 2k miles total and comes with the bung.

In terms of re-map and stuff, I think the general recommendation is that once you do anything beyond air filters and catback, then you are in new ECU/Remap territory. Personally, I went for the catback, dumpvalve and cat replacement at the first stage, and that meant getting an Apexi and having it mapped. Downpipe came later on mine.
