Anyone know where i can get a roll cage for an 89 T2 coupe. Safety devices make them but won\'t sell me one unless i buy 5 .. eek.
Other manufactuers sell them for the FD models, but not the FC :(
oh, and i\'ve got 2 FC\'s now
You need to speak to some one like Ross ant Dragon or Newera
You may get a second hand one if you search but the easyest way is to get one brought over with a Shipment but a Tuner.
i need one if you find one!
I would like one for the Vert if they do them
Does Gary of RotaryArt have any on his site?
Yes, but i suspect they are FD cages, i shall call him on monday.

I reckon i could persuade safety devices to make a pair of them for us if your interested.
Well thats 3 interested....should be able to get another 2! What price? I\'m sure Jay will want one too....
Jay doesnt drive his car hard enough to need one :)
safety devices used to make them, i know as i have one in my T2.
They stoped making them when they went through there wobbley patch a year or so ago (when they nearly went bump)
I think Cusco make them (i have a mate with a Cusco cage in his Coupe)
Let me have a word with them monday, see how persuasive i can be ;)
Would it fit the Vert and be removable or mostly removable ?
What pricing were you looking at? Am after weld in, not bolt...if that helps ;)
Dunno, i can but ask :)

No, not quite Prof. Would be a new bespoke design for the soft top.

Maybe sprints and time attack in time, I\'m missing one key ingredient.. Talent at the moment.
Big Pic....! Has potential. If you need anything, advice or bits just give me a shout.

its a tad rusty, but mot\'d and roadworthy after we did a bit of welding (like entire bits of the underside) But the engine was only rebuilt recently (by wgt) so it makes sense for it to go into the coupe. I also need various bits like some of the loom and gearbox, doorlocks, power fc, coils, ignitors etc. Its a great car and i love driving it, but after i strip the bits i will need to spend alot to get it back on the road, and it would mean i have 5 cars on the road at the time (including 2 cabs) so it does not really make sense.
I shall put the shell in my parents shed covered up until one day it can live again.

Cheers :) :Typing
Can help sort a custom cage if you wish for the FC, and will speak to one of my other suppliers for a ready built cage
That would be helpful for \'our thing\' this year, Gary. Look forward to what you can do for us:)
John
excellent :D
I have now uploaded new price list for the cages.
I can supply a cage for the FC or FD, either weld in or bolt in for the same price, fitting can also be arranged.
More info here.

Tony is running one of our cages.

Excellent..
Whats the difference in price for the materials, and is the mild steel alloy cds?
Just added this to our site.
http://www.rotaryart.uk.com/acatalog/Custom_cage.html
The mild steel used in our cages is Clubman 500, which is equivalent to CDS2 and far exceeds the CDS 1 requirements. All cages will meet all motor sport regulations and usually exceed there requirements for racing safety.
Cheers Gary, will chat again later.
