Title: Rattly brakes
Post by: sparkgap on January 31, 2007, 07:01:01 PM
Think my pads are loose, bumps are noisy and hard braking makes a clicking noise. Any ideas?

Lots of pads on eBay. None come with the shims/springs. Further browsing required. Hope I\'m not causing wear to the calipers. WGT didn\'t comment on any missing parts after a disk skim. At the time the rattle problem had slipped my mind with the rebuild.
Know any suppliers of the bits I need?

Other than finding some second hand, (quite hard) you can only buy from Mazda as a complete kit with pads.

I had rattly front brakes. Turned out they were well worn and needed changing. No other bits required.

In the past I had a set of Hawk pads (excellent by the way).  However one of the fronts, had the pad material come away from the metal backing plate.  This caused a rattle.  Easy to spot if the pads are inspected.
