Is there anyway you can tell what year your car is?lol silly question i know, its just the car had a private plate on when i bought it,i then put my own private plate on,when the logbook came back it says first registration 1998,it must be at least an m reg as thats what private plate was on before, the lad who bought it off said it was 1994?any ideas?
cheers keef
unless the 1998 means when it was fist registerd in the uk?

it doesnt on the log book.ill check the car plate.
is it an import
it should say year of manufacture and year of import
my cab says year of manu is 1991 and imported 2001
mite sound a bit strange but try looking on the reverse of some of the plastic trims inside the car , im sure ive seen a few dates knocking around on mine ??
It just says date of registration 1998
then
date of first registration in the uk 1998
vin/chassis FD3S-301469
96 specs have simpliefied boost pipes, green dials.
99 specs have 6 o\'clock position rev counter.

There should be a label on the seatbelt that tells you the year of manufacture of the seatbelt, provided the belt is original the car will be no more than 12 months later.
Kevin
As already said there should be a year on the seatbelt label
if you have the standard wheels, you can see on them, too, it should be stamped.
