Title: Clutch Slave Cylinder TII and EGI
Post by: R32 Nik on January 22, 2007, 01:42:04 PM
Hi,

Could someone please let me know if the clutch slave cylinder is the same on a TII as it is on an EGI please ?? I think we have a leak somewhere and it would save me buying one if they are interchangeable.

Many thanks :)

from looking at the EPC - they seem to have the same part numbers

so in a educated guess - YES :D

if its on the TII - i hope you have really small hands !!!

its prob easier to remove the IC - gives you more space

and a flared nut wrench ( or 17mm spanner ) to get the hose off ( would be a good time to put a braided hose on to be honest )

have a look in the 2nd gen mod section there are some pics of the slave cylinder ( to get you in the mood !! )

i got mine from mazdatrix - was about £18 delivered and took about 5 days

not sure if that helps you or not though

I had to order a braided hose anyway as it is this that is leaking, hence no fluid and clutch no worky :(

ah right - at least you have found it

ive heard from a few people that they are prone to splitting - hence changing them with any clutch work :D
