Must be a number on the engine to identify it,sure someone on here with more knowledge than me (NOT hard to do) will be able to tell you where it is

the ECU changed from 8 to 16-bit in 96.  Not sure when though.  THis would require the engine/ecu/dashloom to be replaced and isn\'t a trivial job IIRC.

At a guess it\'ll be on a label on the ECU. :)

The ECU is behind a kickplate in the passenger footwell - left hand side.

You could check the Engine number to your Log book?

The number is found on the top of the Front plate.

I think, roughly translated, he meant...

QuoteHello Gents, first post here and I\'d like to get your advice on quality sources for a rebuild.  please excuse the thread hijacking!

I\'ve been in contact with WGT in Cheshire, does anyone know if they have a good reputation?

I\'d imagine they\'d have just stripped and swapped out the 2 blocks; changing looms, ecu etc would be a pain?

Unless you\'re absolutely sure street/extended (which I guess is what he calls \'race\') port.  Possibly a half-bridge.

Full bridge is not great for a road car unless you\'re seriously hardcore as some of the guys here are.

I\'m a wuss and going for large extended porting on my new engine.
