just a had thought when you go single , external waste-gate do you still hav to run a dump valve??? if you go no dump valve is the chatter louder??

Only Tubo where you don\'t have to run a dump valve is a real T51 because thats the way it is designed. That is also why it makes a noise like a Jet Engine, it\'s the only one.
Oh and I run a 60mm wastegate on my system and it sounds great chattering away when I come off boost. HTH

Your royal hogness - does the chatter sound like tappets going hell for leather going onto boost ?
mine was quiet until wastegate ported

whats the difference if u get a 44mm, 50 or 60 etc..
is bigger better?? LOL

Pete it\'s hard to explain the sound it\'s just Yessssssssssssss.
C-West -- yoy will need to match the wastegate to the turbo. The T51 is about the biggest you can run on a road car, hence a massive wastegate.:wave

warthog how do you match the turbo to wastegate im getting t04s what will this need 40mm?

so a bit like dump valves but a prolonged sound ? mines definately like a metalic machine gun speed sound ,pip says will be wastegate!!!!

The Real T51 is Garrett (not the Tweeked HKS Version ;)) and that don\'t have an Anti surge comp Housing as standard?

Also don\'t you get a Better power band without the anti surge Housing?

The Classic WastGate Chatter sounds like Duh duh duh duh when you change gear, the Clasic BOV noise is more like a Psh noise.

I\'m still a beliver that unless you are running BIG hp or running stock turbo\'s BOV\'s are not that important. I\'ve run a T04R with no BOV for two years without any ill effects.
