Title: High idle sorted
Post by: chopper2k22 on January 15, 2007, 12:57:12 PM
Had a high idle problem over the christmas period, tried the usual fixes to no luck. So took it to Pip to find the inlet manifold gasket had gone :Grrr

As pip took it apart he found the cat had started to break down :2eek
So had the cat removed at the same time with his own silenced De-cat and had the boost controller settings modded to suit.

I would like coments of the graph results please, as im trying to understand what the different results are.

Car Mods

Stock ECU
HKS filters
Blitz Nur Spec - WGT silenced de-cat
Greddy Profec B 2 - .6bar low .8bar high

Each of the graphs are each of the pulls pip did on the dyno. The first spike at 3k is the first turbo kicking in then the one at 5k is the second. The graph shows your boost controller is working ok and not jumping around. You may find that the bottom is 0.6 and top is 0.8bar but it depends how much pip did.

Would definately say that next upgrade is an aftermarket ecu. You can make good gains with one.

If you have a look in the dyno results thread there are alot of results posted.
