I guess it\'s the same for everyone but there are loads of RX8\'s on the roads and I\'m sure 90% of them haven\'t got a clue why it\'s an RX8 rather than a MX8 and (like even more people) don\'t have a clue what a RX7 is... Especially when they don\'t even have Mazda badges on them ;)
Just wondered if everyone else thought this?

Oh yes - it\'s been covered a few times. See here (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31768&highlight=RX8+wave) and here (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24801&highlight=RX8+wave)

Yep, they don\'t know the rx7 at all. I\'ve noticed more 8\'s while im in the 1st gen (even a guy at the petrol station, reved car didn\'t even flinch).
As usually said most are muppets (not the people part of rx8owners club and mrc, please don\'t flame me !) that don\'t actually know what they own. They like the shape and the cool factor but the rest is completly alien.
It will be interesting in another few years when the 8 is cheaper to buy second hand and more bits are available to the oldskool crowd. Anyone for a renesis 1st gen ???

my mate says \'\' i bet that guy doesn\'t know what he\'s drive\'s\'\' when he see\'s rx8\'s, but one day we see a rx8 in a driveway and he had a first gen rx7 further down. so some of them must know what they are driving:Giggle
he heh, sounds like it\'s a similar experice all round ;)
Shame really as I think they\'re absolutely lovely cars! Look cool and certainly go well enough, RWD with a proper suspension setup... I can beleive they\'d be just as quick round a track.
Not that many though :Giggle
Many of the guys that own the 8 on the two clubs at least know what they have and use it to its fullest potential. The 8 is an awesome track car, the chassis is amazing even in standard form. Bit more power and it would be an fd beater !
