Title: Help with Sinlge Turbo
Post by: n4bes on January 10, 2007, 06:36:20 PM
Hi All,

I am new to the Rx, and recently purchased a Fantastic Rx from a Fantastic seller in December.

The car has a T04s single turbo conversion running stock boost. The issue I have came about when the car was at a Subaru specialist AWD Perth getting undersealed. It was pointed out that some of the breather pipes on the block, that used to be used for the twin set up, were left open and not blocked off. The large black pipe at the rear of the block is also open.

Questions :

Is this ok to run, as car was set-up at REWorks when turbo was fitted, as it is? and
If I block them up, will the car have to be set up again becasuse It may be drawing in less air....????? The car is fitted with a Apexi ECU,but no commander.

AWD don\'t know bout the Rx and fully admit this, but did find this funny.....

Any thoughts would be very welcome

Many Thanks

Neill

If ReWorx set the car up and you are unsure its ok to run as is then give them a bell, companies usually remember the cars they\'ve worked on and in your case it should be the same :wave

I think its ok to run as it is but please double check,

Gurj

Hi Neill,

I\'m with Gurj, if reworx set the car up, it should be fine. The large pipe at the rear of the block could well be for the ACV which won\'t be used if the air pump is removed. I removed mine aswell as the ACV when going single.

If you are still not happy i could have a wee look and compare to my engine.

cheers,
Nige

Thanks Guys,

I kinda thought that if the car was set-up, then the extra air being drawn,if any, would be compensated for with the re-map that was done.

I would\'nt mind comparing the cars anyway Nige, any excuse to look at another Rx.

Thanks Again

Neill had a thought about the coilovers as might be able to get you to pick them up after all, would you be able to call Charlie and get him to call me, i have PM\'ed him my number.

Thanks Nige

Hi Nige,

Spoke to Charlie at 3pm today, he said the coilovers were at his mates elsewhere, have you spoken to him since then.....???.
