just have sold my car to a friend. but hav not drove the car for few months. so obviously battery was dead recharged and car started but lights and dash lights were going mad.
when i turned the light stick thingy (lol) wouldn go up then 1 would go up and not go back down etc. also indicators would not work and main beem light was showing on dash yet not lights were on either only thing workin was sidelights. and the whole time there was really loud buzzing even with the key out had to disconnect battery for it to stop.
checked all fuses and all fine not sure how to approach the relays but this was where the buzzing seem to be coming from.
y would this of happened car was fine 2 months ago? any help please as guy wants to collect car sun.
cheers david

I had this buzzing sound once also. Worried me so much. Went on for 2 hours - I noticed it stops if a door is open but continues once its closed. Regardless if key is out or not - mine stopped after 2 hours of driving. Has not come back since but would love to know what it was though if anyone knows. There were no warning lights on or anything!
is it an electronic buzzing noise, or could it be relays closing and opening really fast?
Could be alarm telling you its not armed / not working properly
Sounds like a dodgy earth to me mate, had a similar thing a while back. Turned out to be an earth under the bonnet at the front on top of the bumper. But there are loads of various earthing points
Did you remove the battery to charge it, Maybe you left a wire off the battery
all sorted was the earths took them off behind the front bumper cleaned them up and all was fine cheers for help
This sounds like the F100 ecu unit. Was the buzzing noise coming from the the ignition key area? If so then your F100 unit is fooked. If the car is left standing for a while in winter, This unit seems to trap the moisture and short out.
