I\'ve got a 93 Twin turbo engine with all bits intact, except loom and I/C.
It was removed from my vehicle by previous owner due to have something gone on oil seals I think?
Its done around 60,000km\'s and has been rebuilt once by Haywards, then WGT did servicing work, but for some unknown reason, the engine went so it was replaced with that of a newer RX7.
So obviously needs a rebuild, but quite an easy one I\'m told.
How much are we talkng if I decide I want rid of it?
Cheers.
Hi Alex,
I think the previous owner popped it by playing with the boost on a stock ecu if I recall.
Regards
Carl
Blown engines were about £500 a few years ago, but now theye seem to fetch about £300.
There was one on ebay last month went for £620!
Carl,
Apparantly the car had a Re-amemiya ECU put on it, after it was rebuilt by you. The guy who had it then sold the Apexi you installled to make some money to cover car costs and installed the Re-Am one. It was later found that he had loosened boost pipe jubilee clips for some reason, then tried claiming on rebuild warranty?
Car was then sold to owner before me and they then found out about boost prob (due to loose jubilee clip). But after sorting this, the engine was then overboosting with Re-Am ECU which caused \'something\' in engine to give way..?
So 10months later they installed a \'newer\' rx engine in it (themselves) with stock ECU which currently requires setting up properly and also having the Apexi FC fitted by yourselves.. (which I\'ve ordered by the way), so as soon as thats with me, I\'ll get the car to you hopefully. Will give you a shout!
I was thinking if it might be easier for me to sell it you see, but I think its prob going to be easier to get the engine and car to you and let you sort it all!
