Title: Oh nooooo
Post by: FTORich on January 07, 2007, 08:36:27 PM
FD stalled twice going onto a roundabout a minute from my house and almost refused to start again, limped home with serious power loss assuming something had come off, got home to find a steady stream of steam/smoke coming from somewhere below the drivers side light pod.

Any ideas chaps?

Only thing I\'ve done this week is fit a boost gauge.

Drivers side light pod has the water expansion bottle. I recommend getting a coolant pressure check done.

Was the car over heating?

Give Carl a call tomorrow he will be able to run through a few diagnostic problems with you over the phone.

A had a similar problem with steam on mine despite not over heating, I had a bit of crap in the filler cap that was preventing it from sealing correctly.  As for the loss of power....not sure but Im sure Carl will be able to answer.

But hurry up, your my lift!!!! ;)
