But synth\'s will leave a residue in the rotors and make you whole car explode! ;)
That\'s the stuff I use but they told me to get 6 litres and so I did only to find it didn\'t need more than about 4.5 litres.
Serves me right for not checking!
Just make sure that you change the oil within 2000miles if used for long journeys, and more frequent if you are doing town driving or short trips, when using mineral.
I was told every 3k using the GTX???
Jono
That oil is fine and so is changing every 3000 miles if you are not super tuned.
It does not hurt to change the oil more often though, after all it is cheap, and don\'t forget that not all the oil get\'s drained from the engine each time.

Carl
3k is what some recommend, but in all honesty with the price of mineral 2k is the longest it should stay in especially to keep the turbos happy.
When i used to use mineral, i would change every month regardless of mileage.
Cheers,
John
