I need a bit if help.
I have had my ReX a few months now and as it is not registered it is sitting on my drive. I have been starting her every day let to run for 10 - 20 mins to keep everything moving and to get some air moving around the inside as it is abit damp inside. Now my problem is she ran out of petrol the other day. So what i need to know is can i just put some petrol in the tank and let the pump pull it through or will this cause damage.
Cheers Garith.
i am pretty sure you can
yep, not a problem at all. Pump is in tank so its all good, just dump some optimax in there - turn the key on (pos2) but dont start the car, do this 3 times then start her up (Every time you turn key on to pos2 it primes the fuel pump, you wanna do this a couple of times to purge fuel system of air.)
thanks for the info, While we are on the subject of fuel i heared a rumour that optimax is changing to vpower (I THINK) and it is 99 ron any thoughts on this.
Cheers Garith.

This is sound advice.

It changed quite a few months ago. Shell changed all their stations over for the same day (they actually where serving V-Power for a while when it was still branded Optimax)
Do you still have Optimax stations then? :3Confused
i though it was exactly the same thing, just different name
Supposed to be different plus............wait for it..........half an octane higher.............woo bl00dy hoo! :rollin
Just read this :

Doesn\'t suggest that its any different from the Optimax stuff other than the 1 octane point :xconfused
Shell itself has a bit more indepth info :
