hi guys my second turbo is not comming in the first one is fine any ideas
Had this problem for ages...
turned out to be a broken charge relief solenoid,located in the wonderfully simple rats nest!
Also worth bearing in mind, until the first turbo is holding 0.9bar of boost (i think) the second will not prime... do u have a boost guage fitted?

yes the first turbo is boosting fine i take it the boost solinoids one of the three under the manifold
what you got to use it with this weather lol
Do you have a boost gauge fitted? What figures are you seeing on it?

You should be seeing 0.8 bar or about 11psi on the gauge...... this could be down to a few things!!!
1) a solonoid or valve popped in the rats nest
2) Charge relief valve nakerd: looks like a stock BOV (Closest unit to the bulkhead)
3) split pipe on the actuator by the cross member under the car!!! located under the rear turbo.

There are more reasons than that that can cause it, shame I\'m to ****ed to expain, remidn me in the AM and I\'ll talk you through the troublehsooting

i have a boost guage and it reads between 0.7 and 0.9
When does it read between .7 and .9, what exactly is happening, if you get a chance, find a bit of open road and in 3rd gear from about 2k go to full throttle through to the redline (carefull this will break the speed limit)and then tell us exactly whats happening.

Or get a mate to record the boost gauge using a didgi cam while your on your test run, then upload the video file for some one to diagnose the possible problems!!!

right done it was reading it wrong its getting to 0.5 and aint going any further and that was to the redline
could be a boost leak then? have you checked all the hoses and pipes to see if there are any splits/loose connections?
So your telling us that your getting 0.5 all the way through from both turbo\'s or just the second one.
It sounds like the problem lies with the wastgate system prob the soleniod as the wastage spring it set to 0.5 gonna need some more details first though.
Exactly what boost patten do you get from low rpm till the redline are you gettin 0.8 on the first turbo?

well the boost comes in at 2.5k gets to 0.5 and thats it as you would expect the second turbo to kick it doesnt
The 2nd turbo will not come in unless the first turbo make 8psi so the problem prob doesn\'t lie there you the problem appears to be the first turbo isn\'t making enough boost.

And what mods do you have?

it has only just happened i have stock turbos,arc intercooler and hks mushroom fillters
Might be worth checking the condition of the filters, as the HKS one are foam and can break up!!!

What ecu are you running, please tell me you\'ve got an apexi as you run the risk of damaging your car on the stock ecu.
Have you done any work or touched anything around the plenum area recently.
