Does anyone know where i can get a new set of gas struts for the boot lid on the 1st gen ? They are worn out and i use the boot quite a bit !
Cheers in advance
Shaun
Shaun if you\'ve a Pirtec depot near you take them in and they should be able to sort you out or regas the ones you\'ve got.

Or good ole ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA-RX7-REAR-HATCH-SHOCKS-STRUTS-79-85_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33647QQihZ019QQitemZ7989538967QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V)
Try MS Engineering in Bedford - call 01234 772 255.
They will do mail order if you give them the the model and measure the length your current gas struts.
When you get them you adjust the little bleed screw to give the right amount of lift.

Cheers, I think i\'ll end up just getting them regassed. I think I\'ll give the ebay guy a shout and see if he posts to the uk.

Cheers, just ordered a set for my FB and the FD, I seem to get a headfull of boot in both cars. Worked out $109.85 for both sets and postage to the uk :D
I put bowling balls in the boot and I\'ve found that as i pick the bag up the boot shuts :Giggle

do the FB ones include the electrics?
Mark
Not actuall sure until the arrive. Looking at the electrics they are seperate to the strut and you just swap them over. The fb ones where dearer than the fd ones !
Shaun
Cool....that\'s not bad money.
Some of those American sellers take the pee,i was looking at a set of new seat covers on the bay,the guy does every colour for about $275 but he wants $250 shipping!! Robbing Gypo!
