Title: FD Servo/MC and ABS unit removal
Post by: Jit on January 04, 2007, 05:52:10 PM
Hi, im tempted to do this while spraying the engine bay simply for ease of spraying....

I know how to remove the servo and MC but im not sure if thre is a way I can remove the unit from the engine bay while leaving the brake lines intact...

the initial plan was to remove the servo, cylinder, lines and abs unit as an assembly...or atleast to move it forwards a touch so i can spray behindit...does anyone know if this is possible?

hi
just taken all of mine out,,,, you should get a bit of room if you remove the bolts on servo and abs braket.
Then theres 1 or 2 lines from abs that go down the bulkhead and under the car on passenger side, half way down the bulkhead the pipe goes in to a small block, unbolt that block from bulkhead this will let that pipe come forward.
All the pipes that cross the top of the bulkhead are abs to mc..you will have to pull them out of there brakets.(so abs & mc can move forward)
Then theres just two pipes from abs to front wheels but they will flex
