Right, ive got all my front end panels off the car just now (I didnt know there were so many damn screws holding everything on!! its a joke!
Now my car is pearl white....the engine bay is currently red...
so should i spray the engine bay white? or black?
Any reasons why either?
Im erring towards black cos if i make a crap job of it, it wil be harder to notice!
Any thoughts would be welcome!
Cheers
Jitesh
I would say black for the ease of keeping it looking cleaner, but white would look pretty smart if you could be bothered to steam clean it after every drive!
see this is tricky cos ive got most of the bits from the engine polished as well....and i want the colour i choose to accentuaute the polished bits....
as above i would black because if you ccoose to respry the car the black will match all....
but white would look better when its clean
unless u do it in matt black, glass black will bring up imperfections up more than any other colour, white is best bet as you never see scratches etc n just normal white pur dirt shows up more
grey would be another option ?
It\'d be a shame not to get a colour match and paint the engine bay white too so it\'s in keeping with the rest of the car...
Go with nature - paint it like a fresian cow!
Just to muddy the thread, im in the middle of powdercoating mine white !

The white alternator can be fun to clean !

If you are in no doubt you\'ll keep the body work in white for a long long time, then white engine bay to match, otherwise black. :Thumbs-up
I was in two minds of wether to spray the TII engine bay white or black. Decided in white in the finish.
Black means that cleaning becomes less of an issue, if you like chrome then a little goes a long way and there is also a motosport herritage to having a black engine bay (so im told!)
White - well I just dont like it when the engine bay is a different colour (just personal preference).
