Hi guys, simple question i hope! Can i simply replace the primary fuel rail and 550 injectors with a secondary rail and 850 injectors?

No you can\'t replace the stock primary rail for the secondary rail. You can however replace the primary injectors with secondary injectors. I believe this will require you to have an aftermarket mappable ecu and some minor mods to the primary rail to allow them to fit.

When you say minor mods, do you mean making the holes slightly larger to fit the bigger 850 injectors?

From another thread:

QuoteBut I can tell you that the 850cc secondary\'s that I fitted would not of sealed against the primary fuel rail had I not machined it.

Yes they fit in the rail. But they don\'t seal.

and:

QuoteYou need to take 2mm off the height of the fuel rail top face such that the injectors will push in further and the bottom o-ring will form a seal. Otherwise you will have fuel pouring past this seal into the inlet. At about 20ltr/min!!!

:yes
