hey guys gonna have a go at doing this myself chatting with jono yesterday said should be nice and easy as im on a single tubby any 1 got a how to guide or any tips for me and the guys befor we start pullin bits off
I would be interested in this one too as my exhaust is blowing from there!
What we thought would be a simple job turned out to ba a bugger!!!
Step by step gide:
1) remove strut brace
2) remove IC pipe from turbo to IC
3) remove air pump (better acces to all the small pipes!!!)
4) undo & remove wast gate return pipe & vaccum feeds
5) undo & remove downpipe
6) remove oil feed & return from the turbo
7) unbolt & remove turbo
8) now undo the manifold bolts (removing the top rear stud from the block as you wont be able to remove the manifold with it in!!)
9) Pull out manifold
10) Check all welds on the manifold as Ballys was blowing on all the welds so we had to reweld the manifold before refitting!!!
Refit is the same as above but backwards!!!! Also put exhaust asembly paste on all joints & both sides of every gasget just to be shure it all seals properly!!!!
This job took us 6 hours on ballys....... for 2 reasons:
1) we had never done this befor & were using the force!!
2) we had a lunch break while the manifold was being welded by a friend!!
