Title: flooded. darn....
Post by: goaferboy on January 03, 2007, 11:42:18 PM
right. iv flooded the fc by doing the cold start procedure whilst the engine was still warm. they take a long time to cool dont they! i thought it was cold!

its far to late/dark to be fannying around removing spark plugs etc and iv tried to start it the way the manual says to start it when flooded. is it ok to leave it overnight when its flooded?

thanks, luke

Should be ok. On the fc, one way to stop the fuel pumping, is to disconnect the fuel pump. There is a connector in the boot, if you lift the carpet.

its all sorted now. thanks for the help. i just took all the spark plugs out, "cranked" it, put the plugs back in and then did the flood start procedure (foot to the floor whist trying to start it). worked a treat!

iv been told theres a lot of smoke when you start it and damn! they werent kidding!
