Post by: ReX 813 on January 03, 2007, 05:30:44 PM
I got a knock reading of upto 115 at low revs, is this something to worry about?

probably a faulty knock sensor. i get the same and have been assured that\'s what it is, as my car has been tuned safely!

ive got a faulty one aswell, is a very common fault, you can get a second hand one for around £30 usually, or you can get a new one from Mazda for £92

It is wise to get the problem sorted otherwise how will you know if you really do have a detonation problem?

Mine reads 60 at idle - I guess detonation is not possible at that...does it mean a dodgy sensor?

i had a dodgy coilpack which was giving high knock readings so its not just a dodgy connector
