Should be ok - but may be best to wait for a second opinion.
5400RPM is a good guy tho - I got a couple of bits from him in the past including my boost controller which was way cheaper than the usual UK vendors :)
the 40 off set should be ok, the 30 on the front may be a little tight on the arches if they are not rolled. As above though, see if somebody can give a definate answer.
I had 17x8.5 on the front of my last RX7 with a 31 offset and it was lowered. It didnt catch at all.
18x8.5 should be OK as long as your not lowered too much otherwise you might need the arches rolling a little like antnicuk said.
