Title: Moving gauges to centre speaker
Post by: RedRummy on January 02, 2007, 07:03:54 PM
Hi,

I want to move my gauges from my single DIN slot up to the centre speaker bit on the dash...

Is this a dash-off job or can the cables be fed through by hand easily enough.

cheers!

I am sure with a bit of fiddling it can be done with most of the dash in place you are best taking your stereo out but from memory it can be done.

Cheers

I would have thought it would just be a metal coat hanger job to track the cables up to that point. Got a middle pod waiting for some gauges (been waiting some time)

I\'m thinking of getting one of the thress pod jobbies from FlyRX7 here (http://hometown.aol.com/flyrx7/Rx7-Gauge-Pod.html), though he seems to be difficult to get hold of...

I\'ve already got the 3 gauges I need (oil temp, water temp and fuel pressure) but they\'re a bit tatty... migth upgrade to some Deffi ones later on  :)

Thats who i got mine off. They don\'t seem to take very deep gauges though so you may find that your current gauges may not fit in it.

Hi Shaun,

I have just been looking on the link as i am after a gauge holder and they sell spacer rings to make up the diference in depth of longer gauges. I may be wrong but from the pictures it looks like it. Hope so as it is the best looking holder i have found so far.

Cheers Garith.

I think rotaryart do a set of rotor shaped pods for the center speaker vendor link above.

If you do manage to get hold of him, any chance you could post on here first so we could maybe do a bulk order....?

I really want this pod too, but don\'t hold out much hope of getting hold of him on my own...

Obviously, if I get hold of him first, I\'ll do the same...  :cheers
