Title: Handbrake light stuck on
Post by: ramirez on December 31, 2006, 04:34:25 PM
Since this motning in my TII the handbrake light only seems to go out under hard acceleration and then comes back on . Its tipping down outside so i can\'t check a lot but the brake fluid level is definitely ok.

Could this be a case of stuck rear calipers? Anything else to check?

i have exactly the same on m FD! only comes under hard braking or acceleration. think it may be a loose cable/sensor connection?

I would check your pads as I think the hand brake light is also a warning for the brake pads being low.

Yep, what Nik said - bet your Brake fluid is low due to worn pads :yes

Isn\'t it a known problem with the FD? I\'m sure I read it on one of the websites, the one where the guy has done a guide to modding the car.
