Post by: allstaruk on December 28, 2006, 01:39:32 PM
Hi ya guys

I am in the process of fiting a profec B and I just want to confirm what size vac line I need to use to fit it?

Is it 4mm or 6mm ID.

Thanks

Alan

Doesn\'t the manual tell you ??????  You should get enough with the controller to pipe the setup with anyway.

The manual doesn\'t say and I didn\'t get any hose as I bought it second hand, it came of a single turbo but as I am having to use it for twins I also have to move the connectors on the solenoid as the twins have an actuator controlled wastgate am I right?

Go for the smaller size pipe as it will give a quicker response time in getting the manifold pressure readings to the profec.

Its the pipe to and from the solenoid that I need, I\'m pretty sure its going to be 6mm.

Also looking at the diargarms where have people connected them to, looks like I need one end plugged into the actuator the other end needs be on the intercooler side of the turbo\'s so anywhere one the plenum should do?

make sure you get good thick wall pipe as well or it will collapse on vaccumm. The stuff that comes with the unit is very thick. Will dig some pipe out tommorrow !

Plus on page 7 in the manual it says you get 2m of 4mm Pipe (for the controller) and 1m of 6mm Pipe.
