Title: C West Head light Conversion
Post by: Ed_RX7 on December 15, 2003, 04:29:43 PM
Its brain pick time!!!!

Anybody got one of these and how does the lighting compare to standard. Read the other threads but need a true comparison...thinking of buying a set in the next few weeks.

Are they street legal?

What bulbs do they use and can the bulbs be upgraded to those super white thingys?

I got CWests & I love them. I can\'t say how it compares to standard lights as i\'ve never driven with popups, but I can see everything fine! ;)

Not sure what bulbs they take, that I could do with finding out.. despite asking a few million times on here *sob*.. well I only asked once, but it\'s the PRINCIPLE of the matter haha

Street legal.. sure are! Insurance didn\'t charge me an extra penny for them either... insured it as part of the Cwest kit I have.

Though mine were fitted in Japland, Chris Boid got his from Re:worx if ya looking for a place to get them from

gl :cool

Yep, I have them and like them a lot.  My only grumble is that the low beam lights (the round white one of the pair) cannot be pointed far enough ahead on the road due to it being restricted by the clear plastic cover :(  Main beams are brilliant though.

I think Dragon Performance were importing the lights cheaper the last I heard.

I never drove the car with the pop-ups so I can\'t compare the performance, I think they look better though IMO :o

I _should_ really find out about the bulbs too :( before it\'s too late!
