Move to either a front mount or v-mount setup, increase the size of the secondaries, fit a nice single turbo then you\'re about ready.

Nos in a rotary is a interesting option as the rotary cannot take a big nos shot, only about 25-50 shot of nos is anygood, anythnig more will screw the car.

Dont always believe what you see in movies, if you have a decent budget and can get decent power out of the cr toi begin with Nos isn\'t really needed as these things are quite fast enough to begin with.

I will wait for someone with personal experience to reply as the above is what i have read and been told,

Not a fan of N2O myself but I was wondering why these car\'s can not take a big shot of it?  Is there a weak element in the engine or is it down to tuning/mapping for it?

I believe the tips and seals react badly to Nos ? again not 100% expert but it was something along those lines where if you are gonna use nos only use a 25 shot of it and it will be cool :Giggle

You really need to build an engine that can take it.
With Nos you get immediate turbo spool up,which is great, but with a stock engine you only want to run about a 25hp shot, which will make more than that in HP,but run a wet system too.If you try to run more than that, the turbo\'s can overboost due to the wastegate not being able to bleed off enough turbine exhaust gas,and the turbo\'s can overspool, and also the apex seals are pretty weak in stock form.
The best thing to get a more effective return is just to tune the stock twins for a bit more boost in the first place.
If you build an engine that is suitable, you can run high hp nos,200hp or more.

Gurj & Carl - Thanks for that  :cheers

So you would need better apex seals, much better wastegate and in my case would need to be a lot better at driving! :chat :driving

Dont always believe what you see on forums either!

ALL NOS IS IS LIQUID AIR!

injecting NOS into your car does the EXACT same thing as turning the boost up. It simply supplies more air, as thats all NOS is - nitrogen and oxygen, both of which exist in air.

As long as you have enough fuel for it your car should be fine. As Carl rightly says, you have to make sure the turbos can take it. The reason why rotaries blow up on NOS is due to boost spikes caused by the sudden increase in exhaust gas volume over-spinning the turbos.  So in short, NOS is not bad for rotaries, its bad for turbos. As long as you have it setup right, and your wastegates are quick enough then your car will be fine.  Get a wet kit, tune it rich, watch for boost spikes and make sure your turbo control system works well and your good to go.
