Title: Which Insurance companies?
Post by: probedb on December 20, 2006, 07:51:33 PM
Eyup,

Which insurance companies do discounts for MRC members then? I\'m sure it\'s written somewhere but can\'t see it in this forum?

Currently with Adrian Flux and this next year will be £650 fully comp with 4 years no claims @ 29 years old.

Cheers :)

Try A-Plan Insurance. They beat Adrian Flux on price for me. The insurer is Ensign

I\'m with Sky insurance. About the same price as A-Plan quoted me but with agreed value on the car. Insurer is also Ensign.

Cool, I\'ll get onto them after Christmas...do you just tell them you\'re an MRC member and give your membership number?

Cheers again.

No discount system set up as far as I know.

I tried the MRC discounted insurers but never got a decent quote.

I once got a quote from Adrian Flux at renewal and at the last minute mentioned that I was a member of a car club and they said the price they had given me already included the discount :reallymad

If someone finds an insurer who actually gives you an explicit discount for being a club member, please let me know, I don\'t trust Adrian Flux\'s discount scheme, I don\'t think it exists.

How come the Tesco and the Churchill quote system looks 99% the same?

Whats all this bullshavings about a tracker?  Do you all have trackers????

I just have a Cat 1 but I\'m with Adrian Flux now...no-one could beat their renewal and that does actually mention a club discount.

Was with Norton last year, £560.

Called A-Plan on 084507112341.

£453 !

So I have taken a policy with them.

Thank you everyone who recommended A-Plan !!

Quick question regarding ensign - Now I have no idea how insurance works but no matter which broker i go through I always end up with ensign like the last FIVE YEARS! Why can\'t you just go straight to them?

Norton, 350 on modded single 3rd gen! Classic policy 3k annual limit. I believe they offer a 15% reduction for Mrc members.

I was with Norton but went well over the 7500 miles per year -- over 10,000 :eek .
They wanted lots of beer tokens. Nooooooooooooooooo.
So went with the RAC of all people full mods declared, unlimited mileage etc £403. Well pleased.:wave
