Hi guys.
I am having a strange cold starting issue.
It only ever happens on the first start of the day, and what happens is I start up and it turns over fine.
But if i then move the car the second i press the gas pedal the idle point sits at those revs. So say i pull out of my street after starting up and i get to 3k then change gear, the revs will constantly be at 3k. Regardless if im touching the gas at all.
It\'s like the cable gets stuck down or something and its v.dodgy. Even if i push in the clutch the revs keep revving at the highest point i reached.
This lasts about 3 minutes until the engine is a little warmer and then stops. Same distance/time every morning.
Anyone have a clue whats happening? It never did this in the summer.
ummmmm ive had this problem a while back and a mate fiddled round with it a bit then it was fine, theres a screw in the enigne bay for adjusting the idle, i think the cable does sometimes get a bit stuck and may need a bit od tweeking. Will see if i can find a diagram of where the screw is. :Typing
That would be awesome :)
If it\'s a problem that goes away once warm it sounds like it could be to do with the double throttle linkage...if you haven\'t had it removed :3Confused
 there use to be a site called iluvmyrx7.com but its gone now :reallymad will keep on looking
heres some info.

thanks guys, looks like ill be playing around with this adjustment at the weekend.
thats prob the first thing to try and might solve it, trouble is with idle theres several things that could cause it, just gotta hope its sumit simple
Update:
Fixed this problem. Turned out to be a sticky accelerator cable as suspected! :)
