Title: I name that hose in......
Post by: rxangus on December 11, 2003, 08:36:46 AM
Hi All,

Just discovered I suddenly have only 4-5psi boost above 4500rpm on my FD. A quick fumble in the dark (!) last night revealed that one of the hoses is burst having I presume been rubbed through by the pulley sited immediately below (airpump??). Can anyone tell me the name of the hose (see attached pic) so I can order a new one.

Can someone also confirm that this faulty hose would give the symptoms I\'m seeing?

Thanks

Angus

That shouldnt really cause too may problems.  Mine is routed to open air anyway and not to the air filter pipes, just put a small filter on the end of it to stop dirt getting in.

I dont think thats whats causing you problems.

Just taped up the hose in question and right enough Lee it made no difference.

I should have said that the first turbo is pulling strongly (11psi ish) but I\'m only getting 3psi now after the transition. This loss of boost is accompanied by a loud venting sound from the driver side (new with this problem) but trouble is I don\'t know where from.

Sounds like a hose off but which???

Cheers
