Hi lads...
Bled the system a good while ago and replaced the fluid with this Ferodo ****e... Anyway got Billion super brake fluid and bled the system and replced it the other night... Its not too bad but i have to pump the brakes to get a good pedal... I have stop tech 4 pots and i didnt realise that u have to bleed both sides of the caliper! Trouble is what side do i do first etc.. And what way do you bleed the brakes ie back right back left front right clutch and then front left..
And also after awhile of sitten in traffic the clutch starts actin up... Wont go into gear and have to pump it abit so i can get it in gear..
Any help greatly appreciated lads..

Start at the closest to the Master cylinder and work away. e.g. if the Brake pipe goes into the in side first then bleed that then the Out side.
Any leak around the top of the clutch flexi, ie just around where it goes downwards after crossing the scuttle?
Buy a self bleeding kit, they seriously make the life easier. I thought the manual says start furthest away from res and work forward. The ckutch is part of the system too !

yes that is correct, always start with the brake furthest away from the master cylinder, make sure you bleed well to get all the fluid changed andf all the air out. also pressure bleed it as when you do the pump the peddle system you push the master clyinder seals into the part of the bore that is not used, so if the master cylinder is getting old the seals are week and there is corrosion you will never get a peddle back due to damaging the seals. the normal symptoms of this are if you hold pump the peddle up, start the engine, the peddle will slowly go to the floor. also if you pump the peddle when driving you will get good brakes, let off and leave them for a minute or so while driving, next time you come to stop the peddle will have a lot of travel. I dont think master cylinders are too expensive anyway?
OK? I thought it would be more Logical to start at the Closest point and push the air out with the Fluid on Aftermarket Brakes, rather than having an air pocket half way through the line your Bleading?
I know stock brake systems are designed to be one line (They run the fluid through one side of the Caliper to feed the other, (Thats why you often see on Pad worn more than the other in std 4 pots.) but alot of Big after maket Calipers have bleaders on both sides of the calipers becouse of the more balanced ay there designed (One feed is spilt into two before the Caliper and then goes one to each side and should be roughly equil lenth so all the pistons start to move at the same time) If you think about it when you push the brake it does\'nt work like normal it will leave an air Pocket in the closest side of the caliper and so draw a bit back contaminating your Freshly blead section..
You want to invest in Speed Bleaders ;) they realy make life easy, Piece of pipe and a Bottle to catch the Exess fluid (if you are worried about it going on your Drive :)) Plus you can do them ALL in one hit (you just close them one by one from the Closest point).
