Post by: hugo on December 07, 2006, 08:07:21 AM
Hi,
Sorry if this is asked a thousand times but, Looked at buying a car last yesterday, what oil pressure should there be, the dash pressure gauge seems to read between 0 and 2 bar the after market one reads just below 20 psi when warm.

Forget the stock one thy read what they want when they want!!! Go by the after market one!!!! you should be looking at about 20 - 25psi when warm and anything over 70 when cold!! Thats the norm anyway!!!

I agree ive not got an aftermarket one yet but the stock one is rubbish the thing jumps about all the time sometime while im cruisng in 5th gear at the speed limit. it goes from 4 to 0 and stays there for about 10 mins only to jump (and jump I mean not move) back to 4! aftermarket one I will buy at some point. lol
