Title: My FD Progress Pictures
Post by: FD3UK on December 06, 2006, 06:36:02 PM
Been busy changing/making parts to my FD over the last couple of months so thought I would show some pics. Still need to hide some wiring away but nearly there now

Spec at the moment is as follows.

\'93 import with burnout widebody kit.
Microtech L10s ECU.
Excessive LIM with single fuel rail running 850/1680 injectors.
Horsepowerinabox T04Z turbo.
Davis Craig EWP.
Custom water swirl pot.
Evans waterless coolant.
Dragon V-mount.
Electric power steering.
Old wiring completely removed except lights, wipers and window motors.
ABS and heater removed.

Thought and opinions...

Kev

Looking sweet. I notice you\'ve ditched the PWR Chargecooler, any particular reason?

I like the fan assisted intercooler - does it make much difference to intake temps ?

Also did you need to use an uprated alternator to power all your extra electrical goodies like power steering - the fans and the aquamist kit  ?

No, it actually restricts the flow and speeds up heat sink. I\'ve trialed this on mine.

Thanks for the comments.

Custom work is my own handiwork except for the welding.

No brakes as yet so have not tested pros/cons of I/C fan, but take on board your comments John.
