I\'ve just got back from the garage after poping in for my mate to see if the car would pass its MOT with a cracked light. To my delight, I was told that the light in question wouldnt cause any problems! :cheers
On to my new problem! He brought out the light gizmo that checks they are pointing the right way and after uming and ahhing came to the conclusion that I need new lights :2eek :2eek
The reason, he says, is that the dipped lights point towards the right hand side rather than the left (not E approved?). He thought this was probably due to the lights coming from the US. :2Mad
I\'ve had a quick search and have seen some other people with this problem, but the only solution I\'ve seen is to stick the old lights back on.. lights which I dont have :(
The only other option is to find some kind of conversion kit.. but I dont know if these exist.
Any ideas on what I can do?
Cheers
Chris
i dont think that is a mot fail as left hand drive cars wld have the same problem the main thing is they have the correct cutoff and do not blind oncoming drivers..i have a sleek kit and they are hella projectors and push comes to shove i could dissassemble and change the internal shroud but dont see the problem it is the cutoff that is important
which sleek kit do u have
The ones I have are the sleek drift light kit. I think that was the problem - oncoming traffic would get blinded (cant see how, cant see naff all at night!!)
give me a ring 01784 463646 might have some advice for u
Ahh.. probably too late to call you now! I\'ll give you a buzz tomorrow.
