Title: Sleek headlights - the lowdown for a newbie pls
Post by: BabyNSX on December 10, 2003, 04:37:55 PM
Hi

this potential owner has now become the owner of a \'97 FD. Just put a £700 Clifford alarm on it, and the other thing I was considering was sleek headlights. I\'ve seen a couple of types, anyone up for answering a few Qs? -

1) Clear perspex or colour coded?
2) Are they a DIY mod?
3) Is Xenon or High Intensity bulbs an option?
4) Is it a reversable mod?
5) Is it an insurance headache?
6) Where can I get them from?
7) How much to buy? and fit?

thanks all

1. Depends on which set you get.
2. Yes. Depending on your DIY skills!
3. Not sure.
4. Yes
5. No
6. Not sure, I heard Dragon Performance have the C-West and East Bear kits in stock.
7. Look on my site.

It is on some kits, FEED and RE-Amemiya being 2 that come to mind.
Title: My own experience with C-WEST sleek headlight kit.

Here are similar threads that I know of that concern the same subject.  They are a kind of \'before purchase\' and \'after fitment\' of the C-WEST sleek headlight kit, that might answer some of your questions.

Before purchase.

After fitment.

A further point to note with this kit is that I think the low beams are not pointing far enough ahead of the car for my liking and the clear plastic cover prevents them from being raised at all :(.

The high beams are excellent though :).

thanks
from what I\'ve looked at the Rotary Extreme sleek light kit is the best.
