Looking at getting a boost controller and like the GReddy Profec B Spec II or Apexi AVCR, I assume the Apexi is prob a bit better but is it worth the extra money??? anyone had experience of both??? is the GReddy good?
I would reccomend the AVCR.

Greddy every day of the week for me matey, cant fault it. Nice and easy to use, and good value for money:Santa
I want something that is easy to use and does the job? ive seen the GReddy for alot cheaper price jsut wondered if its worth the extra pounds.

Go for Greddy, all i do with mine is watch the boost and when the mood takes me press one button for \'Hi\' and then when ive scared myself press the same button for \'lo\' :yes :yes :Thumbs-up Easy peasy. I cant imagine what else you would want from a boost controller.
:Thumbs-up Greddy any day of the week, I have installed the AVCR in a couple of s14s and 300zx they are a PITA plus they overboost and spike when they self learn the boost curve which can be dangerous on a FD.
I luv my Greddy the easiest boost controller on the market the way it handles the boost curve is good, I would say the Blitz controllers come a close second
I have set up both,a done quite a few others too!,but find that the AVCR is very easy to use and setup.I have not had any issues with over boosting on any of them.
But everyone has their own personal taste.
At the end of the day, they are all pretty good.:Thumbs-up

Oh,one last thing,we even have them racing with the AVCR.

I was asking another tuner this question, I was told that they will both do the job, the Greddy is simple but that is due to the fact that it has less setup options than the AVCR. Something like being able to set boost levels on the AVCR at every 500rpm and in every gear - stuff like that. Oh and it\'s software is very similar to the Apexi PFC we all know and love! ;)
Did I understand - NO! :King :Laugh :spank ;)

Ive got an AVCR and I dont even know how to work it lol. I dont touch it I just watch the numbers LOL
hehe sounds lik the sort of thnig i would do :wiggle im like that with the PFC Commander, just watch the numbers dont press the buttons
^ the safest way matey:rolleyes:
Deffinately - if it aint broke, dont fix it!
If it\'s been setup properly you have no reason other than to monitor :)
yep u r right i get my mate greg to set it up then all i do is monitor it.
I got the profec e-01, and like you i have no idea how to program it - leave that to someone who knows what they are doing (thank you very much carl!) but it is great to watch the numbers and the graphs as you accelerate - gives you a good idea of how quick the turbo is spooling and how heavy your foot is!
