Post by: ReX 813 on December 02, 2006, 11:18:41 PM
hi,
just wondering what sort of power i can expect from my car,
its a type R2 with a street port, power f.c, induction kit, and exhaust system with de-cat which has just been fitted, its still on stock twins+injectors,
im getting it re-mapped soon but was wondering what i could push it to without causing to many problems??

cheers Jay

And: You\'re running a street ported engine without a custom map!? Dangerous.

Also where was the street port done? Is it a UK port or a fictitious Japanese port?

I would think it would make 330-350 flywheel as a wild guess.

Ill be taking it to RE-WORX, the mapping was done there bout a year a go by the previous owner, it came out at 276ATW with the cat on, but i have been told the map was set to be economical, and i could get more from the car?

the port was done in the u.k.

to get the best out of it you need to address the fueling, bigger - pump, FPR and a pair of 1600 injectors. As it stands you could see around 280 / 290 atw and you will then run out of injector duty. With the fuel mods and a free flowing exhaust you should be able to push it over the 300mark.
