Title: keeps flooding
Post by: olly-civic on November 29, 2006, 10:39:10 PM
every morning this week iv come to move the mazda out the garage and its tried to fire a few times then flooded and the only way it will go is if i take the plugs out blast the fuel off them and wizz the engine over with the fuel relay out to clear the excess fuel out and then put the plugs back in, starting to get a bit anoying now tho...
only thing i can think of is the spark not being strong enough or its been cursed by satan, if anyone\'s had any trouble like this or knows of any common let me know :)

Have you tried a new set of plugs? These cars do need regular plug changes.
If that does not work then maybe your compression is low.

when you say "move it", are you just moving it then switching off? Or are you driving it somewhere?

If you have a standard spec FD then put 7\'s and 9\'s in. They really help in preventing flooding. You probably have 9\'s all round in.

What\'s the spec of the car? HP/Boost. It goes for all FDs but 10+ plugs are cold and really want a good run on every start. Not talking blasting it down the motorway every time, but not just round the drive without reaching at least normal temp either. Take a plug out of front and rear, it\'ll say what they are on them.

the plugs that came out got binned as id left um lying about up at the garage, but i remeber them being alot higher that the ones ces could get me, at the moment iv got all 9\'s in it, and when i get a window for it il be using it allot more, and i do drive it fairly hard
