Hi all,
Just changed my plugs, what fun that is!
But I had 9\'s and 10\'s in there... Would 7 and 9\'s be a massive problem? The car only has an exhaust and is otherwise stock really... There\'s an overboost switch and my guess is that the 9\'s and 10\'s was to make this "safe", but without it and no trackdays do you think it\'ll be safe? In fact, just standard driving, no full WOT at 7.5 k rpm either in this weather!
Or would 9\'s all round be a better bet?
Cheers,
Mark
what boost does the switch make it run, with those mods stock plugs would be fine unless your high boost button makes it run 1 bar or something.
It will also help prevent the starting problem you had.
I\'ve not got a boost gauge in it so I\'ve not touched the switch at all (and am not going to until I know what it definately does!!!)
But good to hear for stock boost they\'ll be fine. I thought the 7\'s would be a good idea in this cold weather, but looking at the old plugs they were filthy! So I think any plugs would help the starting ;)
Thanks for the confirmation, put\'s my mind at ease!
Yep 7s and 9s are fine.

are you following me :spank
Just a quick follow up, the 7 and 9\'s have been absolutely fine! Driven to Brugge (well, took the ferry for the watery part ;) ), Ypres and then back to Blighty all without any kind of hitch at all!
Cheers for the re-assurance to set off with those plugs :Thumbsup!

Ypres ? Were you on a war walk ?
Bloody muddy this time of year ?
Just a tour bus, so muddy but not too bad! I really did give you an idea of the hell that they went through in the trenches!!! The lady giving the tour was really good and nearly had us all in tears at a few points... And Ypres is an incredible place, nothing older then 85 years old and looking exactly like medieval europe!
Also had to go and see the sounding of the last post as the Menin gate, again been done every single day since WW1! Amazing really... Just a shame it really doesn\'t seem that the world has learnt anything from it.

The square there is very pretty, and the ritual at the Menin gate very fitting and moving. Amazing when you see pics of the town totally flattened by shells. Gives you some idea of what went on...
Hill 62 and Sanctuary Wood are worth visiting..
We saw Hill 62, the devistation there!!! The tour was really good, if anyone is reading this and heading to Belgium then check out the Quasimodo tours, well worth it and take you to lots of good places you\'d never find on your own...
My gf is a kiwi so we stopped at a few of the commonwealth sites, the amount of men they lost in that war was such a massive part of their population!
