Is it still that when its warmed up. Mines always been about 1500 rpm cold and 1000 warm. It usually settles down once warm.

Mikey,

Mine warms up for a good 3 minutes at 1200-1500 then drops the revs to 700-800. Once fully warm it ticks over at around 500.

Sounds okay but mine is completely standard as long as you don\'t count the broken airbox and the seized brakes - i know i love my car for a reason but there are brief moments when i forget what it is!

Calipers ordered and on their way from Clive at SHY (a very very nice man)
Will let you know when they arrive and i definitelt owe you a beer (or whatever)

Pete

hmm I dont think I should go ANYWHERE near the rats nest or any other engine related part, It will only end in the engine falling out of my car or some sort of  mass mess..  I may pop down sometime after the new year then? but dont let me or encourage me 2 touch ANYTHING.. :) the less I know the better for the car. :Laugh

666flo are you still running twin turbos?

ooo I know the answer to this one. Yes i am. :D.

lol, just checking.  because if you were running a single turbo you would no longer have any of the rats nest as it is just vacum pipes etc for the twin turbos.

you have quite a good power figure for twin turbos (280rwhp @ 0.8bar) so i thought you might be single.

I have been trying to set-up for rotary engine business about 10+yrs ago and still want to do it!, but it\'s not worth it as Rotary engine is a joke in Scotland!!  and I never went down south for a tune-up,etcc.lucky me!
All RX7 models\'s mechincal is the same!!, using your common scene.

depends how you look at it.  :wiggle
if you want more power then there isnt really any other option.  the plus side with single is that it does simplify the engine (getting rid of rats nest)

erm I have no common sense when it comes to cars. its in one ear out the other I cant help it. The bf does the stuff for me most of the time  after about a month of pleeeeeeeeasssssse can you do this for me.. hehe but if something major needs done I would be pretty much screwed, :Laugh. which i did know before I bought it, I couldnt help myself but buy it, they are so lovely. lol.

Why are rotary engines a joke in scotland? The only reson I can think of is there isnt many around here? Is that why? sorry daft question  i know. lol.

D1 WTF :- its funny you should say that. I took a guy out in it and he said, is this a single turbo to which I answer no and he said it doesnt half shift ofr being a twin then.. :rollin
