Title: Fuel Pump / Relay Issue ?
Post by: gsb876 on November 27, 2006, 09:25:05 PM
Right been to help a mate get his RX7 fd started as wont start,

Basically the fuel relay was not firing the fuel pump, took out and made a bridge with a 20V fuse in the middle and the fuel pump fired, started rx and it sat there happily idleing away.

Took bridge with me to work and made a safer one coated wires and stuff went back today and now the fuel pump wont fire ???? Checked all fuses in footwell as well as all connections and checked fuel pump wiring all seem ok.

Any one have any ideas as to what might be the issue, not flooded as no fuel coming through, you can hear the fuel pump when you usually fire the car but now you cannot hear it working ? before we assume the fuel pump is fooked anyone care to correct me as to where i\'ve gone wrong as car originally did start !!!

best bet is to swap over the pump, relay, fuse and ecu.....and see if that cures it...then work backweards to eliminate them one by one...
