Hi chaps im having a lot of difficulty removing my T II\'s head unit at the moment - not sure if its screwed in from behind perhaps.
Ive noticed that by the footwells adjacent to beginning of tranny tunnel there are two plastic triangles - however they\'ve been screwed in with some weird screws so im going to need a tool to take them off. Do these allow access to the head unit\'s cage normally?
yep!! take these off and then you should be able to see behind the stereo
is it the stock head unit
its dead easy to remove
1 - pull out the top vents
2 - take out the 2 screws
3 - pull up the bit around the gear stick
4 - remove the ash tray - and remove the screws
5 - remove the front of the centre console
6 - remove radio
simple eh :D

You can see a little bit more when you remove them, but it still ends up being a game of skinned fingers, desperate measures and swearing :D But its not too bad to put a radio in, done it on 2 FC\'s :yes
i found it dead easy to be honest .. and ihave had mine out loads of times to add more gauges
if its the STOCK radion then its physically screwed in to the cage - so you are best taking the front of the dash out and doing it that way
20 mins tops - and once you have done it you will realise how simple it is

cheers all :D
its not a stock head unit but it is rubbish!
got a nice pioneer one to use :D
