Title: Snooper S6R NEO
Post by: jetpilot on December 07, 2003, 09:18:55 PM
Hey all, anyone fancy a group buy on a Snooper S6R NEO, have found a site who are doing a four pack for a shade over £350 a unit. Need three others, they may do a better deal if we can get more. Check out this link //www.incarexpress.co.uk.

have you considered the Cheetah radar/laser detector?

Uk speedtraps seem impressed and at only £179 from play.com seems pretty good value too..........

How effective are these things?  They always correct?

I am losing my license shortly for accumulated points anyway, but thought it would be an idea to have one installed when/if my RX arrives.

I have one on order, so will let you know.
Have a read of the ukspeedtraps page - they are unbiased and compare all different types of detectors and jammers etc.

IMO radar/laser detectors alone are pretty useless they are only good for gatsos & the like but these are also easily picked up by GPS type units. The detector will also do youyr head in telling you where all the automatic door opening devices etc are!!!! (http://burns.thefinaldimension.org/contrib/dvv/po.gif)
My GPS device is the roadangel which is great although if i was buying now i\'d get one of the more attractive devices so the S6R does look quite pucker.
Back onto laser detectors they are utterly pointless by the time it tells u u bin zapped it\'s too late so only worth it if yer a paranoid freak who likes awaiting 14 days to see if they get a NIP in the post (http://www.stupid-boy.com/smilies/otn/other/1blushudder.gif) lol.
Getting round lasers can only be done with jammers who\'s use is leaglly dubious shall we say that\'s why i have 2 (http://smilies.crowd9.com/contrib/dvv/uriel.gif)   [whistles innocently (http://burns.thefinaldimension.org/contrib/guus/heilig.gif) ]
all IMO but if i was doing again then detector wood be bottom of the list FYI

Jammers huh!  Will investigate this further, sounds like a nice idea, anyone tried the special number plates that stop a lock being taken on your car?
