Anyone got one of those HKS induction kits for their FC turbo?
Seen one for around £150 - do these make much difference on RX7s as the one I had on a Prelude made diddly squat difference?
Inudction kits don\'t really make much of a difference at all. It\'s mainly going to make things worse by sucking in hot air.
It\'s a lot less restrictive than the stock filter, but make sure it gets cold air if you really want big benefits.
I run one of these green mushrooms, and will be making a cold air box for it.
With a good exhaust system the induction kit really pays off, but don\'t bother with it unless you have decatted. :Thumbs-up
A decent panel filter does the job too :)

Absolutely right! :)

cool it is decatted. Incidentally the previous owner lived in Camberley, you might recognise the car? It\'s a red T2 coupe H reg?
I think I saw it about once or twice, but I think it was a \'weekend\' car.
What spec was it ?
The heated air intake issue is only a problem when the car is sat in traffic - a well designed cold air box will take care of that problem.
The intake ducting has several places where it\'s restricive - the MAF sensor, which narrows a lot, the intake piping goes through 2 90 degree bends to clear the air pump, and the turbo inlet is 2 1/2 inches so that\'s another restriction.
If you want to run more than 300+ power you will have to look at some of these things - a panel filter probably won\'t cope at these higher powers.
