Title: why did mazda ever use crappy paper inlet gaskets :(
Post by: aposegil on November 23, 2006, 10:20:43 AM
Well as some of you may seen ive got the car up for sale but this lower inlet gasket prob been a headache to deal with as i was half way thru the job.

so last ngiht decided enough is enough and got on with it.

6 hours later finally got the turbo\'s off (damm heavy i may add lol) and lower inlet to fine the wrost looking gasket in my life!!!

it many places it had crumbled to nothing and on the nears port to the gearbox there was about 2cms of gasket missing!!!! been blown out a while now and loads of other little cracks

i think that shoudl explain the reasons for my problems i think lol

anyhow lef tthe job with only putting the lower inlet back on as the fuel line did not stop leaking fuel, why is this guys? im talking the line that comes off the primary to secondary injectors ? is there no cut or the pump not stop it?

anyhow im hoping to have it all back together by friday night hopefully with no probs :)

ill keep you guys updated :)

you should have some pressure inside your gas- tank. so just open your filler cap and let the air pass inside. Fuel should stop leaking than.
