I cant bring myself to buy it because I compare everything to GT3 and nothing thus far has come close.

Its no GT3, but its a great game in different ways.
More of an arcade racer than simulation, but all the mods you can do and win make it interesting, and the drag and drift races are superb!
graphics top notch, specially with motion blur and light trails turned on, everything goes into warp vision when you hit nitro!
need for speed underground, i got it the other day for PS2 after i blagged i mean got game to price match tesco so £29.79 (http://smilies.jeeptalk.org/contrib/edoom/Peace!.gif)
current got me MX5 as tooled as i can get & working on sum cash harr got hole week off work so should soon have me a funky FD too...........I presume it is a healthy match (from a statistcall handling etc point of view) compared with the other cars?

Yeah, me too. It\'s an OK game single player, but I can\'t see it lasting me too much longer without multiplayer...
I started the game with the MX5 (\'cos it was the only rear wheel drive car), and kept it until I got the RX-7. Statistically though, the MX5 is better, when tuned up, than the rex, and runs a close second to the skyline (statistically the best car in the game). I still use the rex of course, makes it more of a challenge. :)
Only thing I don\'t like about the game is the way you
have to kev-up your car to progress with the game at certain points. Some races you need a certain amout of \'reputation\' (read: bodykit) to enter. Unfortunately, the kit that gives you the most reputation is usually the most hideous as well :)
Still a blast to play, though. :D
cant play it too much thou i got XIII for £19.99 so i gora try & get into that & sell it without a loss oh & i bort medal of honour jap thing too (nasty price match man (http://mysmilies.creativesell.net/contrib/blackeye/deal.gif) lol) so gora shoot sum peaps as well as running their asses off the road...

i got it off bit torrent for the PC, on race 99 out of 101, its bloody hard, and i hate the slow car catchup thing, really annoys me how i can be slaughtering them, and you can be going flat out and they still overtake you :reallymad
the rx7 is the best drift car ;)
And it is a monster on there, the only thing better is the skyline but i never use it :p :D
think you can turn off slow car catch up in one of the menus, sure i saw it somewhere, i shall investigate....
its a wicked game, i got it on the xbox, i got my RX7 at 242mph on the drag srtip, can anyone beat that top speed?
This game does rock, i also started with the mx5, not got an rx7 i can use in the underground yet though. Cant play atm as i lent the cd\'s to a friend and forgot to get them back :(

you can mod the rx7 in normal mode, but not in underground, i dont have it to use for underground but it\'s there for me to race online.

I cant believe it. This is my first post on here and its about xbox\'s and not rx7\'s. I\'m a student and I\'m struggling to get my Gen2 EGI through its MOT for the new year. Well anyway, if ur into your gaming u should get a modded xbox. This is the only thing I can afford to mod while I\'m at uni.
Check out //www.baldbouncer.com for pre-modded xbox\'s or if you\'ve already got one got to //www.xbox-scene.com and learn. I\'m not joking this is the best investment you can make. I haven\'t had to buy one game for my xbox and I dont even have to get off my arse to change game as there all on the hard disk.
Hopefully one day I\'ll have a proper job and then I\'ll be able to afford to buy and run an FD. Or maybe the government will ban them by then for being far too much fun......hope not.

got my rx7 top end at 223mph in drag mode! 22.36seconds, cant find n e thing else that can beat it it drag mode! great game!
My skyline has had a 22.8 sec/234 mph drag before. This was with a tow then a hearty injection of NOS.
ive found out the best way to get a quick time is to nos it early 3rd, 4th, and part of 5th. all the way lol
The best way to get speed on the drag strip is to get right up someones ass and slipstream them, this gives you extra boost and when they use there nos you will keep right up with them, then near then end use your nos, ive had 244 mph.
