Title: Which Injectors?
Post by: chrisJDM on November 22, 2006, 05:13:37 PM
My car is currently running the following mods:

Apexi Power FC
GReddy Intake
Performance Downpipe
Silenced De Cat
Apexi Back Box
Koyo Rad

Am looking at replacing the intercooler with a V Mount, i assume the next step would be uprating the fuel system, im looking to up the boost on the twins and in future maybe go for a single turbo.  which primary and secondary injectors would be best to go for?????

Seconday 1600 kit with rail and adjustable fpr. Keep the stock primaries.

850 definately id say, idle and cruise can be mapped out so there smooth on 850\'s, but think you\'d really be pushing your luck on 1000cc primaries

few customers cars of mine are running 850cc all around with even "smal" single Turbo (current RX6 from Apexi) making over 400hp.

So, it is OK to run 4x850cc for your mod. Like ScuttleRX allready mentioned, you can tune out the "bad" points, with very good results in driveability.

My FD was running 1 bar with 805 cc primaries, stock secondaries, and an adjuastablt Fuel Pressure Regulator, and Apexi fuel pump.  No problems at all, only running at about 75 % duty.

I\'m running 550 primaries and 1200 secondaries (These are the types that are not prone to failure. The dodgy ones are the 1300\'s). Getting about 75% max on GT35R and streetport.

I would possibly go down the route of running 2 more injectors in your Elbow! Keeping primaries and secondries standard!

sounds good, what advantages do you have from running more injectors?

1600 secondaries would be the best choice I would think as they\'ll probably provide enough fuel for all your future needs

the primaries won\'t max out if left stock because of the way the system works , once the primaries reach a certain duty ( can\'t remember what it it ) the secondaries kick in to share the load so the duty on the primaries reduces , if you ever managed to max out 550/1600 you could then change up to 850 primaries
