Just a quick post realy........
I\'ve just bought a Power FC & Commander, but to be honest the options for mounting the commanders all seem........ a bit GAY to me(http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d192/jonathandudley/Smilies/gay_flirt.gif)!!!!!
I was thinking about getting my hands in to the GRP again, and designing something nice and discreat so that all you can see is the screen rather than what looks like an original game boy!!!!
Basicaly this is to see how many of you lot would be interested in something like this!!! I\'ve got an idea in my head but don\'t want to jump the gun, produce it then find that no one wants them!!!
I\'m getting my power FC this week so if there are enought names listed on this thread I\'ll get some sketches up and start making the moulds!!!!
If it all works out , I\'d probebly be looking about £35 for the new funky carrier!!

I will be very interested depending on price really.
The R-Majic ones are nice but £50 seems a lot for a bit of plastic. Currently I am using a mobile phone holder which does the trick but is not very subtle really.
Put me down, any idea on price ?
The R-magic ones are expensive but they are very well designed and fit really nicely with the lines of the dash.
Be interested to see what you can come up with mate.

I will be getting my Apexi power FC and commander in the next 2/3 weeks but no holder..
I also do not like the way the commander looks..it does look like a game boy…

lol, mines just velcro\'ed to the dash under the speedo coving up past 140 on the dash. Easy for reference and nicely out of casual view.

I wasn\'t a big fan of the commander when I got my Apexi, but I have grown to love it!!!
anyway my solution was to put and extension cable from the ECU round the back of the dash and drill a hole in the centre console so I could plug in the commander if I wanted to look at something or check that it was running right.
I saw someone on the rx7club.com that blended the commander into the armrest where the ashtray sits. It was still removable and it looked pretty cool. Im gonna try changing the led in the back of the lcd display to blue on mine as im pretty useful with a soldering iron.

Only problem you have then it if you lean on the bloody thing!!! bang screen broken or settings chainged without you realy notising!!!!!!

I just wanted to add the following:
My RX is my daily driver and I get into my car 3 / 4 times a day. I do not really want the commander to be constantly on display as I know that it will get nicked pretty soon (I live in North London)
It would be nice to have it attached somewhere while driving and have the ability to remove it while the car is parked.

this mod doesn\'t involve aultering or cutting any part of the power FC commander......... the unit drops into a reccess in the heater vent, hiding the buttons of the commander so all you see is the screen!!

id be interested in something like this i ttried the phone holder and that lasted about 2 weeks
